We have received word that Jane McCarthy, wife of our first Commandant, Bernie McCarthy passed away on March 17th in Danvers, Mass. Jane was active in the Auxiliary and very supportive of all of our Detachment activities until they relocated several years ago from The Villages back to Danvers due to Bernie's ill health. Her funeral notice is attached for your information. Jane was a wonderful, kind-hearted lady who loved the Marine Corps League. Rest in blessed peace, Jane.

Jane was born on July 19, 1937, and passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Jane was a resident of Massachusetts at the time of passing. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10: 45 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Following visitation, a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
