The weather earlier in the week was iffy, as to whether or not the rain would hold off. Yet on that morning, golfers lined up for a worthy cause, the 17th annual Marine Corps League, Detachment 1267, Col. Phillip C. DeLong, Toys For Tots, Golf Classic.
At 08:30am on Saturday September 14th, 2019, the annual "Toys For Tots" golf classic at the Havana Country Club, in The Villages, Florida began. As if he didn't have enough to do already, this years golf outing was headed by Detachment 1267 Commandant, Nathan Pratt.
Golfers arrived early to sign in and give each other tips on how to improve their scores
Golfers assembled in the parking lot prior to the events formal beginning.
The official event began with the Presentation of the "Colors" and "Pledge of Allegiance",
followed by the singing of the National Anthem, by XXXXXX
After formal introductions and thanks to the sponsors were given, the rules were explained by XXXXX
