A Message From the Commandant of Detachment 1267

Detachment and Auxiliary Members,

As we embark upon Memorial Day, I am confident that you will pause to remember

those who have given of themselves to fight for the freedom of others, regardless of

country. Their sacrifice was the ultimate fulfillment of their oath.

As service members we belong to a unique group of humans who are not only

committed to those we serve, but to each other. We must remain steadfast in supporting

those currently serving and caring for the families of the fallen.

May this Memorial Day refuel your inner warrior and remind you that there is valor in

serving the underserved, standing for the marginalized, and creating a safe place to

share camaraderie with your brothers and sisters.

Thank you all for what you do to make our Detachment stand above others. You have

given of your time and talents so that we may fulfill the dreams of many. Whether it be

an educational scholarship, gifts beneath the tree at Christmas, or a meal at

Thanksgiving… Your efforts allow us the ability to provide these wonderful gestures.

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not

to utter the words, but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy

With heartfelt appreciation,

June
