It is with deep sadness that we inform our membership of the passing of Marine Fred Geier. 

Colonel Geier was a distinguished United States Marine Corps aviator, a Past Commandant of Detachment 1267, and a steadfast supporter of our League and fellow Marines. Throughout his life, he exemplified the leadership, professionalism, and devotion to duty that define our Corps.

Fred's larger-than-life commanding presence, unwavering commitment to Marines, and genuine friendship touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was truly one of the good ones—a Marine's Marine and a hell of a nice guy.

At this time, no additional details are available. Once the family's wishes and any service arrangements are shred with us, that information will be passed along to the membership.
