It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of G. Lee Radford, a distinguished Marine, Mustang Officer, and Chartered Signatory of Detachment 1267 Col. Phillip C. DeLong. His departure from this life marks the issuance of his Final Permanent Change of Station Order from the Supreme Commandant.

G. Lee Radford exemplified the finest traditions of the United States Marine Corps. Rising through the enlisted ranks to earn his commission as a Mustang Officer, Lee embodied dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to service. His journey from enlisted Marine to officer reflected his exceptional character, resilience, and devotion to duty. As a Chartered Signatory he further distinguished himself through his integrity and contributions to our Corps, the League and our nation.

Lee’s legacy of honor, courage, and commitment will endure in the hearts of those who served alongside him and in the annals of our Marine Corps history and the Marine Corps League. His loss is deeply felt, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and fellow Marines.

In accordance with tradition, we honor Major G. Lee Radford’s service and sacrifice. Let us reflect on his contributions and keep his memory alive as we continue to uphold the values he championed.
