Tis The Season

Brothers and Sisters of Detachment 1267,

As we gather in this blessed Christmas season, we reflect with pride on another year of selfless service to our community, our Corps, and our fallen.

This year we raised thousands through our golf outings to support Toys for Tots, that helped bring joy to tens of thousands of children and families across our area, continued the Rose Program with unwavering dedication, and generously supported our veterans and community through Red Shirt Friday donations, the Leadership Scholarship Program and supported other charitable causes.

Once again, we stood tall in our Honor Guard duties, rendering many final honors to our fallen brothers and sisters with the dignity and respect they earned. We also represented MCL 1267 in many events around our neighborhoods, being the face of the best detachment in the Great State of Florida.

While we celebrate these accomplishments, we also pause to remember several special members we lost this year. To their families: may the peace of this holy season surround you, and may the love and memories you shared bring comfort during these difficult days. You are in our hearts and prayers.

This year we also proudly celebrated the 250th birthday of our beloved United States Marine Corps—a milestone that reminds us of the legacy we carry forward every day.

To our members, we are deeply grateful for each and every one of you—your commitment, your camaraderie, and your tireless service make this detachment strong. We could not be who we are without you.

As we move into the new year, let’s keep charging forward, working hard, and continuing to live up to the motto: Semper Fidelis.

In this sacred season, we humbly bow our heads in thanksgiving for the greatest gift of all—the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas to you and your families, and may the New Year bring you health, happiness, and continued purpose.
