“The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things that you do for others remain as your legacy.” – Kala Ndukwe Kalu
Do you want to see The Tun rebuilt? Do you want to make a toast to the Corps in The Tun®? Then join the 1775 Club and be part of making that happen in Philadelphia. Membership is only $17.75 per month for one year – or make a one-time donation of $213 – and you are a lifetime member.
Q. What is The Tun® 1775 Club?
A. The Tun® 1775 Club is a membership club for individuals interested in helping to rebuild The Tun® in Philadelphia. The intent of this fundraising initiative is to create an inexpensive way for large numbers of supporters to make a meaningful contribution toward the construction of The Tun®. Special premium items unique to the 1775 Club include a t-shirt, certificate and coin.
Q. Why is it called the 1775 Club?
A. The “1775” honors the November 10, 1775 birthdate of the Marines.
Q. How does The Tun® 1775 Club work?
A. The Tun® 1775 Club requires that a donor agrees to an automatic and recurring monthly charge of $17.75 to a valid credit card or debit card for a period of 12 consecutive months, totaling $213 over the year.
There is an option to cover your credit card transaction fees. Donors can also opt for a one-time donation of $213.
The 1775 Club Member T-shirt is available in sizes small, medium, large, XL and XXL.
The 1775 Club Member Certificate will be customized with your name. Each 1775 Club Member coin will be numbered; your numbered coin will be exclusive to you.
Shipping costs for the t-shirt, certificate and coin are included with your membership.
Q. Can I purchase a membership for a family member or friend?
A. Yes, we encourage you to involve your family, friends and fellow Marines in being part of The Tun® 1775 Club. Please spread the word.
Q. Can I pay the $213 donation over three months? Six months?
A. For ease in implementing the membership program, there are two payment timelines available – the monthly charge of $17.75 and a one-time charge of $213.
Q. If I pay the $213 all at once, when do my member gifts ship?
A. All gifts will be shipped once the coin is produced.
Q. What happens if I lose my credit card or it expires?
A. It will be up to the supporter to maintain a usable credit card on file. If the card expires prior to the full payment, all exclusive members will not be shipped.
Q. What happens if I lose my 1775 Club Member Coin?
A. The Foundation is unable to replace lost coins.
