Commemoration Partners,
This past Memorial Day found our Detachment’s Color Guard and Vietnam War Commemoration team honoring veterans living at the Trinity Springs Assisted Living Facility in Oxford. Team members attending were: Nathan Pratt, Neil Stapleton, Garf Cooper, and assisting them, Lou Calleja. One of the residents is a retired Army Brigadier General, and Garf had the honor of pinning him. Two after-action reports has been submitted electronically via the commemoration website.
Also, Garf attended a Marsh Bend community event where he pinned seven veterans; one was too ill to participate in, so Graf went to his home to pin him.
I am honored to be amongst such dedicated members of our detachment and Auxiliary. You show your love for our brothers and sisters in arms every day.
