Congratulations to the following members that have accepted the challenges of leadership within the detachment.
Commandant June Worden
June enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1981 and served as a Microwave Radio Repairman on active duty until 1990.
She served with 7th Communications Battalion, Okinawa, 8th Communications Battalion, Camp Le Jeune, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, Okinawa, & Headquarters Battalion, Albany, Georgia.
She continued in the IRR until 1993, and was recalled to active duty in February of 1991 for operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
June pursued a career in law enforcement with the New York State Police. She retired in 2011 as the lieutenant in charge of the State Police Academy.
