Marine Corps League GolF Classic

The Marine Corps Classic Golf Tournament has been aninstrumental source of funding for local Toys for Tots Campaigns. Since 1996,Marine Corps Leagues across the country were added to help run localcampaigns and to fund them – oftentimes through a yearly golf tournament.The Phillip C. Delong Detachment 1267 has proudly served the children of Lakeand Sumter Counties since 2007.The Toys for Tots outreach has grown larger than had been imagined during itsinception in 1947. As of 2023, there are 830 campaigns across the United States,Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands!In 2023, our local campaign distributed 57,463 toys to 16,234 children! It wasthrough the generosity of our Marine Corps League members, the auxiliary, andall of our neighbors within and outside of The Villages, Florida that we were ableto help so many children in need of Christmas.
