Detachment 1267 Marine Corps League
will be presenting
Purple Heart Recipients
with their walking canes.
The location will be
The Eisenhower Regional Pool and Recreation Center.
The address is 3560 Buena Vista Blvd The Villages FL 32163.
Come early or stay late to tour
The Eisenhower Recreation Center
which was established to honor all military branches.
The canes were made by the Indian River Woodcarvers. Each cane is made with an eagle head at the top and engraved with the recipients name, rank, branch of service and all medals and awards as documented on their DD214. The canes are beautiful and become family heirlooms.
Detachment 1267 Marine Corps League Honor Guard will march in the colors at 11:30 AM. Special dignitaries will be present to honor the recipients,
light refreshments will be served and a cake to honor the recipients.
